The heart always leads to the heart. That is why, when we stop and listen, we are guided from within, to our joy, our destiny, our truth.
Tonight I had scheduled a men’s group, a place that implies attendance, but I felt like checking out. Something in me was calling me elsewhere. I needed a good reason to check-out, so I laid in bed for a minute and surrendered to divine insight.
That is when I remembered seeing a Facebook promo about this Cacao Ceremony and Sound Healing with Simona Musilkova. I remembered the excitement I felt when I first saw it, and how my energy dropped when I thought I couldn’t attend because of my men’s group commitment. My emotions were guiding me, I quickly glanced over the event’s description, a violin was involved, that was the last sign I needed. I jumped off bed and jumped in the shower, excitement flowing through my veins.
The Cacao Ceremony with Simona at Vali Soul Sanctuary
Throughout my years exploring yoga, healing and ceremonial space, I only attended a few cacao ceremonies. They haven’t been a significant part of my spiritual journey, but the more I delve in them, the more I recognize their power to open our heart, bring us together in love and create peaceful bliss in our field.
The setup is fairly basic: A peaceful place to gather, a group of loving people, gentle music, strong intentions and joyful leadership. Simona did an excellent job helping all of us drop into our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. She guided us through several meditations to connect with source and offered powerful cacao medicine to aid us in reconnecting with ourselves and each other. I was blown away by the simplicity and power of the ceremony. It reminded me how quickly we can drop into ourselves and remember our divine connection with all that is.
During the event we had a chance to split into small groups and share insight and appreciations. We also made a big circle, holding hands and walking in both directions. The experience felt timeless, as if we had been doing this practice for thousands of years.
Conclusion: Follow Your Heart
I was so excited about hearing the violin that I brought my guitar to the cacao ceremony. I’ve been opening up to receiving the blessing of a beautiful soul playing violin to the music of Divino BetSatori. This felt like it was the perfect opportunity to make a musical connection. Simona was surprised seeing me walk in with the guitar case, especially since her violin player had to excuse herself last minute. She asked if I would be willing to play some healing music for the sound healing part of the ceremony. When she asked what my songs where about I replied: God. : )
However, by the time the ceremony was over, we were so high in love and presence that the sound healing part went over our heads. I will likely be playing some devotional songs in future cacao ceremonies. That is actually one of my main goals with Divino BetSatori’s music: To share it in a space of community, peace, love and service.
You know, the typical New-Age-Boulder-Hippie way ; )
